 Years of Bogner designs distilled down to its purest form, is the SHIVA...
Featuring two highly evolved channels, capable of clean tones that shimmer like icicles in the deep of winter moonlight and tube saturation that is so rich and powerful it should be illegal in the free world. Foot-switchable boost function for both channels, variable for channel 2.
EL34 models are 80 watts and have a nice throaty growl with aggressive English-style midrange to punch thru the mix. 6L6 models are 60 watts and have a touch more lowend/highend extension that's more American-style. The sweet/rich sounding Reverb option offers individual level controls for each channel, don't need reverb on the clean channel but need a bit on the high-gain channel, no problem dial in just the right level needed. The Shiva also has a Tube-buffered series FX-Loop. 1x12 Combo features a newly designed and revolutionary ported speaker enclosure that sounds very full, almost like a 4x12 cabinet.  ..... formerly known as the Mojado, is a small but powerfull amplifier with a simple and pure signal path for a variety of vintage tones.
A pair of 6V6's in the fixed bias class AB power amp deliver 18 watts of clean headroom.
A three position stand by switch can engage a low power mode with roughly 9 watts for a softer feel and tone.
With just a Volume, 3-way Bright and 4 position Schizo switch the controls are powerful enough for a wide range of organic tones.
The four Schizo settings offer a wide spectrum of eq and gain voicings to compliment any type of guitar pick up, speaker cabinet and musical style.
Position 1 is the lowest gain with a nice sparkle top end and a flat bass.
Position 2 adds a bit more gain with extended treble and bass.
Position 3 delivers a medium gain with a fuller rounder tone.
Position 4 is raw, open and aggressive with the highest gain available.
We also give you a power amp input so you can use the Palermo as a power amp only.

| The Barcelona ........ |
 ...... was designed for a very nice high headroom clean sound to serve as a platform for guitarrists which prefer
to have most of the overdriven tones comming from pushing the front end with pedals.
A pair of 6CA's in the fixed bias class AB power amp deliver 40 watts of clean headroom.
A three position stand by switch can engage a low power mode with roughly 20 watts for a softer feel and tone.
The Gain, Bass, Treble and Volume controls work in an unconventional tone stack design which give
greater control over tone while the sound remains much cleaner.
The Pull Fat function on the gain control serves two purposes, for a fatter gainier tone as well as a bright function,
in the later case turn the gain down after pulled so the sound is as clean as when it was disengaged,
you will have extended dynamics with more bass and treble.
A three position Mid Selector lets you decide of a more traditional blackfaze, a tweedier or a 4x10" type of tone.
A few years back Reinhold made a custom amp for Wayne Krantz which somewhat served as templet for the Barcelona.
At that time he went through a bunch of old output transformers and this old Traynor had real nice qualities for clean type of tones,
so he worked on replicating these qualities for a new production transformer.

The low filtered power supply gives the amp a very loose feel.

With just a Volume, Tone and 4 position Schizo switch the controls are powerful enough for a wide range of organic tones.
The Schizo offers three tweed inspired and one blackfaze setting which you won't find in any other tweed type amplifiers.
Position 1 is a simulated blackfaze attenuation, scooped mids with most clean headroom.
Position 2 is tweed with a flatter tone for a brown twang.
Position 3 is tweed with tamed gain on treble and bass, more definition for humbuckers.
Position 4 is fat pure traditional tweed tone.
To compliment the design the combos and cabinets are made out of solid pine with a floating baffle board.

| BOGNER ECSTASY 20th Anniversary Model |
 ANNIVERSARY MODEL
Finally now in 2009 a new model is here to celebrate 20 years of Bogner USA, the 20th Anniversary model. We consider this the new "Flagship" in the Ecstasy line with the most organic and open sound yet. Check out these sound clips provided by Ervin Toucet.
Available as an option to the base model the amp has a plexi panel with gold background and is housed in a slightly larger head shell for the all familiar classic vintage vibe.In the past years. Dimesions: 11" height x 29.625" width x 10.375" depth, 48 pounds.
To celebrate 20 years Bogner they are offered in white with salt & pepper grill at no additional up charge which applies to the cabinet as well if ordered together. All other color and grill options are available for the usual up charge. The Metal Grill option is not available.
Please note the Classic and 20thA options can not be combined as they are their own circuits. In the past few years certain so called boutique capacitors came on the market like the Sozo brand with the focus on replicating the good old capacitors from the 60's.These are very expensive and mostly hand made. We bought all the available brands and went trough the Ecstasy's entire audio signal chain and started to incorporate these, the starting point was the pre amp of the Classic option rather then the standard model.Then the circuit needed adjustments to optimize the tone. So the 20thA model has its own pre amp circuit then rather being a boutique capacitor retrofitted Classic.
Now does this mean the other Ecstasies have lower grade capacitors? No not at all, we use the German made Wima capacitors, these are the best choice for pc mount in complicated circuits where space is an issue. Look into your old Vox and you will see the Wima branded capacitors.
Besides the above the following changes additions have been made:
The pre EQ's 2&3 have been shifted and a vintage modern style switch lets you decide the overall flavor of Channel 2&3, bypassed when in the plexi mode.
The plexi channel has slightly more gain and a foot controllable boost was added which expands the amp to have 6 sounds on tap via your foot. Boost is engaged with the same switch as for Channel 2&3.
The clean channel has been changed; special emphasis was taken to the boosted mode which gives you more gain with nice balanced frequencies and compression.
Power amp dampening was adjusted to compliment the new pre amp design, the Excursion switches so to speak.
The amp was designed and comes with 6L6 power amp tubes but other configurations are available as custom order. |

In 2003, renowned bassist Gary Grainger - who has played with John Scofield, Dennis Chambers, and Frank Gambali, among others - and Paul Reed Smith began to collaborate on the first Gary Grainger Private Stock bass design. Andnow we're thrilled to offer that 5-string Signature Bass in a 4-string model. With its new mastering EQ pre-amp, new bridge, new pickups and single-coil switches, this is a player's instrument that can satisfy aficionados far and wide.
SWITCHING
Knobs 1-2 are volume controls and passive/active switch:
Knob 1: Neck pickup volume.
Down = Active, Up = Passive If this knob is up and Knob 2 is down only the neck pickup (passive) is heard
Knob 2: Bridge pickup volume.
Down = Active, Up = Passive
If this knob is up and Knob 1 is down only the bridge pickup (passive) is heard.
If both knob 1 and knob 2 are in the up position, both pickups (passive) are heard.
Knobs 3-5 are a 3-band EQ control:
Knob 3: Bass EQ. Only functions with pickups in active mode.
Knob 4: Mid EQ. Only functions with pickups in active mode.
Knob 5: Treble EQ. Only functions with pickups in active mode.
Mini toggles (coil split controls):
Mini Toggle 1: Neck pickup coil split. Down = Humbucker; Up = Single Coil
Mini Toggle 2: Bridge Pickup coil split. Down = Humbucker; Up = Single Coil
The bass will function passively without batteries. There is an indicator on each battery compartment to show 9V installation orientation. |
