Vintage Open-Back Design, Pure Golden Tone
This vintage-tuned enclosure is perfectly suited for the California Tweed™. Made in Petaluma, California, these open-back cabinets are constructed from Marine Grade, Baltic Birch and feature an all-new, rear-mounted speaker from Jensen. Finding a speaker that would translate the California Tweed's touch-sensitive dynamics wasn't easy. After countless samples, we finally chose the all-new Jensen BLACKBIRD ALNICO. These two together deliver a toneful American voice.
The California Tweed™ 23 1x12 provides a portable, traditional-sounding Extension with a wide, sweet American voice. Balanced midrange, big bouncy low end that's not too deep, and sweet focused top end that's open and bell-like, all with an old-school character that is resonant and dimensional sounding. This 1x12 fills the room and helps make the decision easier to break up the weight of a Combo into two great-looking, perfectly mated pieces.
